The quite original geographic stuation of Besançon – on three sides is the river Doubs and on the last side is a hill protected by a fortification- made Besancon knwon very early by Julius Caesar, who called it Vesontio. From the 20th March 2008 on you’ll learn more about this lovely city, we will offer conducte tours through out the city and it’s attractions. All the AGM places – except one hotel- will be on the loop formed by the river Doubs, so within 1km from the plenary cessions saal. This enables you to get in touch with the local population especially the students. The inhabitants – called “bisontins”- are very happy to welome you for these four days!
